Timber and stone.
Past and present.
Family and work.
This is how OnStone began — in 2012, and very much by hand.
OnStone was born from a search for balance. Between making a living and making a life. Between slowing down and putting something meaningful out into the world. We wanted to create objects that hold what matters — pieces that quietly frame people’s lives and earn their place on the wall.
Every OnStone carries a little of everything it took to make it: long days, splinters, conversations, plane trips, fixes, decisions, and the quiet work of creating and improving. We work with people who trust their eye, use their hands, and tell a good story. People who know that wasting time is sometimes how you find your feet again.
We work with natural materials that ask for understanding and acceptance — of character, temperature, and wabi-sabi; the beauty of imperfection. Each piece of timber has lived another life. Every stone cast has its own grain, weight, and way of behaving. Using second-life materials takes longer. They arrive with their own history already written in, and we choose to honour that rather than erase it.
Balance, we’ve learned, isn’t something you arrive at and keep. It’s something you lose and find again, over and over. OnStone sits right in that space — between intention and imperfection — quietly holding moments that deserve to last.
